On the border of Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions, drivers complained about a sharp change in road quality: smooth pavement from Kostanay side, according to them, immediately after entering North Kazakhstan region turns into a damaged section with potholes and ruts. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Telegram channel HALYQSTAN, the published video shows that the border between sections runs almost in a straight line: good road surface ends at the administrative border of the regions, after which the damaged section begins.

According to motorists, the road in the North Kazakhstan region is covered with deep potholes and ruts with sharp edges. Drivers claim that due to the condition of the road, they risk damaging their cars daily and creating an emergency situation.

To bypass the damaged sections, drivers of cars and heavy trucks have to sharply reduce speed, drive into the oncoming lane or pull onto the shoulder. Such maneuvers, according to them, create an additional threat to road users.

The situation may worsen with the start of the harvest campaign. During this period, the flow of grain trucks and agricultural machinery on the roads will increase, and the load on the already damaged surface will become higher.

According to motorists, under the weight of heavy trucks, the damaged section may continue to deteriorate if it is not repaired before the start of active grain transportation.
