Police found that a 16-year-old girl worked as a waitress at night in one of the establishments in Petropavl. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Department of Police of North Kazakhstan Region, the inspection was carried out as part of the operational-preventive measure "Attention: Children".

The owner of the establishment and the parents of the young waitress were brought to administrative responsibility.

"The main goal of the raids is to timely identify threats to the life and health of children, prevent neglect, violence and involvement of teenagers in illegal activities," the police reported.

Law enforcement officers also check families registered for preventive care.

Over two days, police identified 23 administrative offenses. In 21 cases, teenagers were on the street at night.

The "Attention: Children" raids have been held in the region since August 15. Police check places where minors may be and urge parents to monitor where and with whom their children spend time.
