In the North Kazakhstan region, rescuers had to ferry three vacationers, including an eight-year-old child, across the Yesil River. The people reached the opposite bank on their own but could not return. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The incident occurred in the Kyzylzhar district near the 'Golden Autumn' camp, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the ministry, two adults and a child swam across the river on their own. However, the return journey proved too difficult for them, and they called emergency services.

Rescuers arrived promptly at the scene. Using a boat, they safely delivered all three to the shore. None of them required medical assistance.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded residents and visitors of the region to follow water safety rules and assess their strength before crossing water bodies.

'Even a seemingly calm river can pose a serious danger,' the ministry noted.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that a new rescue station 112 was opened on the coast of Balkhash.
