Vice Minister of Agriculture Nazgul Khatepova stated that there are no grounds for raising beef prices in the near future. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to official statistics, the current average price of beef across the republic is 3,800 tenge per kilogram.
"In Astana, it is 3,800-4,000 tenge and higher. In particular, at the 'Shapagat' market — 3,900 tenge, at Artyom they sell for 4,400-4,500 tenge," Khatepova said at a government briefing.
According to the Vice Minister, today there are no factors that could cause an increase in beef prices. The volume of meat is sufficient, and livestock numbers are also growing.
"Therefore, there are no grounds for a sharp increase in beef prices," Khatepova said.
