The head of state noted that Germany remains one of Kazakhstan's largest trade and investment partners, and cooperation between the countries continues to expand.
"Since 2005, more than $8 billion in direct investment has been attracted to Kazakhstan's economy, with the main share coming from the non-resource sector. Today, over a thousand companies with German capital are successfully operating in our country," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The president recalled that among the largest German investors in Kazakhstan are companies such as CLAAS, Horsch, Siemens, BASF, Heidelberg Materials, Siemens Energy, Knauf, and Linde.
Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to create conditions for further expansion of German business presence in the domestic market.
Separately, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in energy, industry, digitalization, transport and logistics, as well as in the extraction and processing of rare earth metals.
