Defending champion Jannik Sinner produced a devastating display to end Novak Djokovic's latest bid for a record 25th Grand Slam title and reach the Wimbledon final against Alexander Zverev. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.
Just as he did at this stage last year, Sinner denied Djokovic in his pursuit of equalling Roger Federer's record eight men's singles titles at the All England Club, winning 6-4 6-4 6-4.
World number one Sinner did not offer a break point until midway through the third set and dismissed Djokovic's only opportunity with an ace. It was a 99th Grand Slam match win for the four-time major winner.
Sinner will face French Open champion Alexander Zverev in his seventh major final after Zverev ended British wildcard Arthur Fery's run.
"It's the most special tournament we have. It means a lot to me to play another final here," said Sinner. "Playing against Novak is a huge inspiration for the new generation."
Djokovic's wait to surpass Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles continues. He received a warm ovation as he left the court.
Sinner has not lost to Zverev since 2023 and enters the final as favourite. He has not dropped a set since his opening match.
The match lasted 2 hours 20 minutes, just six minutes longer than Sinner's quickest win of the tournament.
