Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning to Kazakh citizens traveling to Georgia. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Starting this month, Georgia has begun deporting foreigners who work in the country illegally.
Currently, Kazakh citizens can stay in the country visa-free for one year.
Visa-Free Regime Does Not Grant Work Rights
According to the ministry's official representative, Zhanbolat Usenov, the visa-free regime does not grant the right to carry out labor activity.
"However, it should be noted that this visa-free regime does not grant the right to carry out labor activity. In addition, carrying out paid labor activity without the appropriate permit entails administrative liability. If a foreign citizen is deported from the country, they may be banned from re-entering Georgia for a period of 2 to 5 years," said Zhanbolat Usenov.
What Kazakh Citizens Should Do
In this regard, Kazakh citizens planning to find employment in Georgia, engage in entrepreneurship or other paid activity should clarify the requirements of the law in advance.
