Rescuers in Shymkent have extinguished a major fire at private warehouses in the Isfijab residential area of Enbekshinsky district. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire engulfed the roof of the warehouse premises. Additionally, diesel fuel spilled from a truck and rubber products caught fire on the site.
A truck filled with diesel fuel was located in close proximity to the fire source.
Two people were injured as a result of the incident. Both suffered burns of varying severity and were hospitalized.
A total of 56 personnel and 30 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Specialists from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Disaster Medicine Center also worked at the scene.
The circumstances and causes of the fire are being established.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged citizens to strictly comply with fire safety requirements.
