A large fire occurred in the Ordabasy industrial zone in Shymkent. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, the fire broke out on Kapal Batyr Street in the Enbekshinsky district. The flames engulfed decommissioned truck tires and dry vegetation.

The fire destroyed about 50 old tires and 200 square meters of dry grass. Firefighting units from the Shymkent Emergency Department, a disaster medicine center team, representatives of the Ordabasy LLP fire service, and local executive authorities were involved in extinguishing the blaze.

Coordinated actions of all services allowed the fire to be fully extinguished and prevented further spread. There were no deaths or injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that a large fire at warehouses in the Isfijab residential area of the Enbekshinsky district in Shymkent had been extinguished. A truck filled with diesel fuel was located near the fire source. Two people were injured, suffering burns of varying severity and were hospitalized. The circumstances and causes of that fire are also being established.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged citizens to strictly comply with fire safety requirements.
