Officers of the drug crime control unit stopped the criminal activity of a resident of Shymkent. He organized the full cycle on his property – from growing cannabis group drugs such as 'hashish' and 'marijuana' to preparing the finished product for sale.
During a search, about 130 narcotic-containing plants were found hidden among agricultural crops. Also, over 330 kilograms of drug raw materials and finished products packaged for further sale were seized from farm buildings.
A criminal case has been initiated under two articles of the Criminal Code – storage of drugs for the purpose of sale and cultivation of narcotic-containing plants. During the pre-trial investigation, all circumstances of the criminal activity, possible sales channels, and other suspects involved in the illegal scheme are being established, police said.
