In Shymkent, amid extreme summer heat, police officers organized an unexpected and refreshing holiday for children. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Special equipment arrived at children's playgrounds, spraying kids with water and covering them with air foam right in the courtyards. The children enthusiastically received the water procedures, starting noisy games under the improvised rain. Footage from social media shows that adults also happily joined the fun.

In addition to water entertainment, the organizers prepared useful gifts for residents. Police distributed ice cream to children and bottles of cold water to residents.

"The purpose of this event is to support residents on such hot days, bring joy to children, and remind everyone about safety culture," the organizers noted.

The initiative received a lot of positive feedback on Kaznet. Social media users thank the organizers for their care for children and suggest making such water festivals regular throughout the summer.

"Many thanks to the akim for thinking and doing everything for the people"
