Police officer was in car with drugs found in Shymkent

A police officer was in a car where drugs were found in Shymkent. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the city police department, officers of the Department for Combating Organized Crime intercepted the fact of illegal storage of narcotic drugs during operational measures.

"During the measures, it was established that in the car, along with civilians, there was an employee of one of the district police departments. The employee was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies for negative reasons," the police said.

Currently, necessary investigative actions are being carried out. All circumstances of the incident, including the actions of the former police officer, will be given a fundamental legal assessment.
