A criminal case has been opened in Shymkent after a man was crushed by an excavator. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to information circulating on social media, a 54-year-old man was working on road construction at the intersection of Baidibek Bi and Tolemetov streets. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital, but doctors could not save his life.
The Shymkent City Police Department opened a criminal case for violation of labor safety rules that negligently caused a person's death. Police reported that currently, all necessary investigative actions are being carried out to comprehensively, fully, and objectively establish all circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made based on the investigation results.
