"Last year our country's GDP grew by 6.5% and exceeded $300 billion. Over the years of independence, almost half a trillion dollars of foreign direct investment has been attracted to Kazakhstan. In the last five years alone, more than $100 billion has been invested," the statement said.
According to Olzhas Bektenov, Kazakhstan has every reason to move forward confidently. "It is crucial for us to qualitatively modernize the economy through the introduction of advanced technologies, the creation of new industries and deep processing of raw materials," he noted.
The Prime Minister invited investors to actively participate in the creation of the "SEZ Valley" in Ekibastuz, the construction of the high-tech city of Alatau City and other large-scale projects that open up new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. According to him, the most favorable conditions for investors have been created in Kazakhstan.
In particular, the unified Kazakhstan Investment House center offers more than 100 types of export and industrial support. A special Altyn Visa regime is being introduced. On the basis of the Astana International Financial Centre, there is the possibility of applying English law norms. In addition, mechanisms for protecting investors' rights operate at the level of the Prosecutor General's Office, while investment projects are supported by a council under the Government.
Kazakhstan's investment attractiveness is also confirmed by international ratings. Leading rating agencies maintain the country's investment grade. S&P upgraded Kazakhstan's independent credit rating to "BBB" with a stable outlook for the first time in the last decade. In the Global Investment Risk and Resilience Index, Kazakhstan rose by 17 positions to take 53rd place.
