A 27-year-old woman has been detained in Shymkent on suspicion of killing her husband. The man died from knife wounds in a house the family was renting. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to preliminary information, the conflict between the spouses occurred after they sent their two daughters to kindergarten. Police are investigating the cause of the quarrel.
Neighbors said the family was quiet and seemed friendly, so they find it hard to believe what happened.
"We saw them, we know the daughters too. I know the woman herself, but I wasn't acquainted with the husband, I only saw him when he came and left by car. The woman was good, they have two daughters," a neighbor said.
The suspect was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
"The man died at the scene. On this fact, the woman was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility," said Baglan Myrzabayev, press secretary of the Shymkent police department.
