In Shymkent, after the death of a teenager in a banquet hall, the owner of the establishment was held liable. Police found that despite his age, the 13-year-old boy had been working there. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Police investigated the circumstances of the teenager's death. It turned out that the child was ill.

"It was established that the teenager's death occurred due to his illness. In addition, based on the facts of labor law violations identified during the inspection, the owner of the banquet hall was brought to administrative responsibility," the Shymkent police department said.

According to the publication, the boy's parents did not file complaints with the city labor inspectorate.

In Kazakhstan, schoolchildren from the age of 14 can work in their free time from studies if the work does not harm their health and does not interfere with their studies. The employment contract, together with the teenager, must be signed by one of the parents or another legal representative.

For children under 14, separate exceptions are provided — participation in filming, performances, concerts, and circus shows.

Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that in Aktau, a pediatric surgeon was arrested after the death of a child. According to police, doctors at the regional hospital made mistakes in diagnosing and treating the young patient.
