Power grid failure reported at Shymkent oil refinery

A power grid failure occurred at the Shymkent oil refinery, reported KazMunayGas company. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to official data, there was a voltage drop in the external power supply system. "Power supply has been restored. One technological unit at the plant is being restarted," the company said.

KazMunayGas also reported that production facilities are operating normally. "This incident did not affect the daily production of petroleum products; extraction and loading operations are proceeding as usual," the statement said.
