A settlement of the Turkic Khaganate has been found in the East Kazakhstan region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Sputnik Kazakhstan, citing the official website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Kazakh archaeologists have found a settlement of the Turkic Khaganate.
The archaeological expedition of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University excavated the remains of the main fortification structures in the southern part of the Kalzhyr settlement and established that a significant part of them was destroyed by fire.
Photographs distributed by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education show the excavations of the settlement and the discovered structures.
