Cyberpunk has become reality on the streets of the East Kazakhstan Region, because the safety of citizens at mass events is now guarded by real robot dogs. The region's police for the first time brought the metal patrol units on duty during the Nomad Álemi ethno-festival in the village of Kasym Kaysenov in the Ulan district. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Capabilities of the robot dogs

The robots are able to patrol the territory along a set route and conduct continuous filming, as well as capture faces and match them against databases.

At the same time, all video information is sent in real time to the police's Operational Control Center. They can also issue voice warnings to violators or direct the crowd.

First "combat" baptism

The first "combat" baptism of the robot dogs at the nomadic culture festival was successful. The police department of the East Kazakhstan Region noted that the autonomous digital patrol units allow law enforcement officers to respond instantly to any suspicious situations in a crowd.

The department plans to continue involving robotics to monitor public order on the streets and during major mass events.
