A forest fire has started in the 'Ayuda' tract of Ulan district, East Kazakhstan region, on the territory of the state institution 'Asu-Bulak Forestry'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The area of the fire is being determined. Extinguishing is carried out by ground groups. Simultaneously, an EMERCOM helicopter is dropping water from the air. The EMERCOM aviation has performed 13 water drops with a total volume of 39 tons.

'At the moment, it has been possible to localize the main fire sources and prevent the spread of fire to a significant area,' the agency reported.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that in May of this year, in the same Ulan district, in the Ayuda tract of the Bukhtarma reservoir, on the territory of the Primorsk forestry, there was a fire of grass, shrubs and trees in the forest zone. More than 20 tons of water were dropped by aviation to extinguish the fire.
