The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that a fire started in the East Kazakhstan region, in the Ulan district, in the Ayuda tract on the territory of the Asu-Bulak forestry enterprise. The area is being determined. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The fire is being extinguished by ground teams. Simultaneously, an Mi-8 helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is dropping water from the air.
The Ministry's aviation has performed 13 water drops with a total volume of 39 tons.
"At the moment, we have managed to localize the main sources of ignition and prevent the fire from spreading to a significant area," the ministry said.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in May of this year, in the East Kazakhstan region, in the Ulan district, in the Ayuda tract of the Bukhtarma reservoir, on the territory of the Primorsk forestry, grass, shrubs and trees caught fire in the forest zone. More than 20 tons of water were dropped by aircraft to extinguish the fire.
