An informal consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states and Azerbaijan is taking place in Cholpon-Ata. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Before the event, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov welcomed Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
After the welcoming ceremony and a joint photo, the heads of state headed to the negotiation hall. Participants will discuss regional cooperation development, strengthening partnerships, and topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
