In July 2026, the monthly inflation rate in Kazakhstan was 0.6%, lower than the June figure (0.8%). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the largest price decreases in July were recorded for certain types of seasonal fruits and vegetables. In particular, cucumbers fell by 22.6%, tomatoes by 17.7%, carrots by 5.3%, bananas by 4.0%, apples by 2.7%, oranges by 2.3%, lemons and potatoes by 1.6%. In addition, eggs decreased by 1.4%, barley groats by 1.3%.

Among non-food products, used cars fell by 3.8%, electric meat grinders by 2.2%, laundry soap by 1.5%, smartphones and glasses by 1.3%, hair dye by 0.7%.

On an annual basis, in July 2026 the inflation rate was 10.2% (in June 2026 – 10.3%). Prices for non-food products rose by 11.7%, food products by 10.1%, paid services by 9.2%, the report said.

Compared with July last year, price declines for certain types of fruits and vegetables continued. In particular, cucumbers fell by 31.6%, tomatoes by 26.5%, onions by 10.9%, garlic by 8.1%, oranges by 7.8%, apples by 4.7%. In addition, among food products, rice fell by 4.1%.

Also, cars fell by 16.2%, air conditioners by 10.8%, medical thermometers by 7.5%, medical bandages by 6.4%.
