In Shchuchinsk, a 23-year-old man handed an acquaintance 1.3 million tenge to help obtain a military ID but ended up without the document or the money. Police have opened a fraud case and will also check the actions of the applicant himself. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Akmola Region Police Department, the man handed over the money in May of this year. Several months later, he had received neither the promised military ID nor a refund.
"The identity of the suspect has been established, and investigative actions are ongoing," the police said.
In addition, law enforcement officers will check the applicant's own actions for possible violations of the law.

The department warned about fraudsters who, for a fee, offer to arrange driver's licenses, medical certificates, military IDs and other documents bypassing the established procedure.
Police urged people not to give money to intermediaries: such offers can result in financial losses and legal consequences.
Earlier, similar cases were recorded in the Akmola Region, where citizens fell victim to schemes promising to quickly obtain various documents without following procedures. Law enforcement officers regularly carry out preventive measures aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of residents of the region.
Police remind the public that any offers to process documents bypassing the established procedure should raise suspicion. Giving money to intermediaries not only creates a risk of financial losses but may also lead to legal consequences for the citizens themselves.
