The bodies of two Kazakh sisters who died in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been delivered to their homeland. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the bodies of Akzhan and Zhuldyz Bokhanov were sent by plane on August 28. The repatriation was organized by the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Dubai.
"The investigation into the circumstances of the death is ongoing by the UAE law enforcement agencies. Kazakh diplomats remain in contact with the prosecutor's office and other competent authorities of the emirate side and will continue to provide the necessary assistance to the family," said official representative of the MFA Zhanbolat Ussenov.
Earlier, acquaintances of the deceased said that the sisters Akzhan and Zhuldyz came to Sharjah to earn money. According to one woman who knew the girls personally, they could have worked in a beauty salon. The details of the girls' death are still unknown.
