The Tama-Tastanbek group water pipeline has been commissioned in the Turkistan region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The project, developed with government support, was implemented within two years. It will provide quality drinking water to over 31,000 residents of Shardara and free the city from dependence on the Shardara reservoir.
During construction and installation works, two main water pipelines with a total length of 39.3 km were laid, four clean water reservoirs and a water treatment facility were built. Also, first and second lift pumping stations were erected.
Additionally, 14 wells with a depth of 110 meters were drilled and 133 well chambers were installed.
It should be noted that previously Shardara's drinking water supply directly depended on the condition of the Shardara reservoir. Now, thanks to the large-scale project implemented in accordance with modern requirements, city residents will be provided with quality drinking water from the Tama-Tastanbek underground field around the clock.
