Chinese company Yueban has introduced an unusual development — a robotic toilet on wheels called Xiaoban. The device automatically approaches a person when they need to use the toilet. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The novelty was showcased at the International Exhibition of Goods for the Elderly in Shanghai. Developers say the device is designed for people with limited mobility and elderly users. However, social media users joke that remote workers and gamers could become the main buyers of such a gadget.

Xiaoban is equipped with a bidet with warm water, hot air drying, and an odor removal system. After use, the robot autonomously heads to a special station connected to the sewer and water supply.

There, the device empties its contents, undergoes a full wash and disinfection cycle, replenishes its clean water supply, and charges its battery. For navigation, the robot uses laser sensors and a LiDAR system — the same technology used in many modern robot vacuum cleaners.

The price of Xiaoban in China will be 28,999 yuan — about 2.1 million tenge. International prices and release dates for other markets have not yet been announced.

Developers believe the robot will help people maintain independence in daily life and reduce the burden on relatives and caregivers.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that in China's Xinjiang region, a robot animator hit a child during a performance at a tourist site. The incident was captured on video and quickly spread across social media.
