An exhibition of Almaty museums has opened in Shanghai. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The international exhibition 'Continuity of Traditions: Heritage of Ancestors' opened at the Shanghai History Museum, organized by the Association of Almaty Museums with the support of the Almaty city administration. The exhibition presents about 100 unique artifacts, including items of traditional life, archival materials, national musical instruments, and silver dirhams minted in Almaty in 1287. Visitors can also listen to the sounds of Kazakh national musical instruments via QR codes.

This exhibition is a continuation of cultural cooperation after the establishment of sister-city relations between Almaty and Shanghai and the signing of a memorandum of mutual cooperation between museums. The exhibition runs until August 30. It introduces Chinese residents to the history, culture, and traditions of Kazakhstan, further strengthening cultural ties between the two countries, the administration said.
