Human bones have been found at a construction site in Semey. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred on the territory of the former Pishchevik stadium. Currently, a new sports complex is being built there. Local residents on social media suggested that the bones may be human and that there may have been an old cemetery there, asking where to turn.
The police department of the Abai region commented on the incident. On July 9, during construction work on the territory of the former Pishchevik stadium in Semey, human bone remains were found. Police officers immediately arrived at the scene. The found bone remains were sent for examination to determine their origin and time of burial.
The police warn citizens in such cases to immediately contact the internal affairs bodies and not to take any independent action until police officers arrive.
