In Semey, a schoolboy returned home with numerous stab wounds after meeting a classmate. The teenager was found by neighbors who called an ambulance. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to relatives of the victim, after classes the boy went to play with his classmate. What happened between the teenagers is still unknown.
"They called me, I called the parents, they were only the two of them. This boy studies with him in the same class, a classmate, he invited him to play. In the end, he received many wounds," said the schoolboy's relative Lyazzat Kamzayeva.
The child was taken to the hospital in an extremely serious condition. Almost 15 stab wounds were found on his body. Doctors diagnosed him with hemorrhagic shock caused by major blood loss. The operation lasted four hours.
"At the moment of admission, the child's condition was extremely serious due to hemorrhagic shock. An emergency surgical intervention was performed for four hours. The child was in the intensive care unit for three days," said Dulat Karimov, deputy director for childhood at the University Hospital.
Currently, the schoolboy's life is not in danger. It turned out that the second participant in the conflict also received wounds to the neck, chest and hand. He is undergoing outpatient treatment.
The teenagers have not yet said what caused the conflict. Police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
"All circumstances of the incident are being established. Based on the results of the investigation, the issue of placing the minors on preventive registration, as well as holding their legal representatives accountable for improper performance of duties in raising children, will be considered," said Yerzhan Akkaliyev, acting deputy head of the city police department.
The school called the incident a surprise. Both teenagers had not previously been registered and, according to teachers, were friends.
