The Ministry of Emergency Situations has updated information on a fire in Semey: two people were injured as a result of a gas truck explosion. They were hospitalized with burns. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the ministry, a gas-air mixture ignited on Sosnovaya Street, after which a gas truck exploded. The fire spread to a one-story car wash building and two private residential houses.
About 90 people and 30 units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, ambulance crews and the Zelenstroy company were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The fire has been completely extinguished. The cause of the ignition is being established.
Earlier, Kursiv reported on the localization of the fire on Sosnovaya Street. In the initial statement from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a gas holder explosion was mentioned, and no information about victims was available at that time.
