Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines has announced the launch of flights from Shymkent to Singapore. The first flight will be operated on October 20, the company reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The flights will be operated on a modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a stopover in Sanya. The Shymkent-Sanya flight will take approximately 6.5 hours. In Sanya, passengers will be offered a comfortable transit time of about two hours. Passengers will stay in the neutral zone of the airport and continue their journey without passport control in China, the airline said.
The flight time from Sanya to Singapore will be about three hours. Tickets can be purchased on the official website of SCAT Airlines, as well as through other online services and ticket sales systems.
The launch of this new route is the result of extensive cooperation between SCAT Airlines, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chinese government, the Ministry of Tourism of China, and Singapore's aviation authorities.
For SCAT, the launch of the Shymkent-Singapore route continues the gradual expansion of its international route network and the development of the Asian direction from Shymkent, the company reported.
