The 120-bed Kerbulak Central District Hospital in the village of Saryozek, Zhetisu Region, has opened after major renovations with seismic reinforcement. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the regional akim's press service, 83 units of medical equipment were purchased for the facility. The hospital building was constructed in 1986. No major repairs had been carried out since it was commissioned. The hospital opened after the renovation ahead of Republic Day.

The work improved conditions for patients and medical staff and strengthened the material and technical base. In addition to medical equipment, 601 units of furniture and bedding were purchased.

The facility operates a computed tomography scanner, X-ray, mammography and ultrasound machines. Residents of the district can undergo examinations locally.

According to Zhaneta Nurmanbetova, director of the Kerbulak Central District Hospital, the hospital provides primary health care and specialized assistance.

"Therapeutic, surgical and trauma care is provided here. The hospital structure also includes maternity, pediatric, infectious and other specialized departments, as well as diagnostic and intensive care units," she said.

Since 2024, 14 doctors have arrived to work in the Kerbulak district. In total, the district central hospital employs 648 staff, including 43 doctors and 350 mid-level specialists.

Endocrinologist Aidana Maratkyzy said she received a one-time payment of 10 million tenge. Her housing issue was also resolved.

"I believe that such state support provides an opportunity to ensure rural areas are staffed with qualified medical specialists on a permanent basis," she noted.

According to Maratkyzy, the hospital's renovation helps in working with patients. She named providing quality medical care and striving to justify trust as her main task.

Saryozek resident Zhannat Akhmetova said all four of her daughters were born in this hospital, one of whom became a doctor. She noted the renovation of the building and equipment, as well as the arrival of young specialists in the district. In her opinion, these changes will help strengthen the health of residents.

Villager Slambai Tokabayev said that previously he had to travel to Taldykorgan for computed tomography.

"Now this problem has also been solved. And thanks to state support, qualified doctors have come to our district," he said.

Tokabayev also noted that after the renovation, the premises became brighter and more comfortable.

According to the akimat, over the past three years, 19 healthcare facilities have been built and commissioned in the villages of the Kerbulak district. Recently, the central district hospital of the Aksu district also opened after major repairs with reinforcement.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that modernization had been completed at the Taiynsha hospital in the North Kazakhstan Region. 1.176 billion tenge from the Special State Fund was allocated for the reconstruction of the reception room and the renovation of two buildings.
