In the Saryagash district of Turkistan region, teachers were found to have been abroad during class hours. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, employees of the district education department, as well as school teachers and workers, went abroad during lessons and working hours. Prosecutor's office representatives stated that despite their absence from work, their salaries were calculated and paid in full.
More than 389 thousand tenge was unjustifiably spent on employees of the district education department, and over 15 million tenge in budget funds was spent on educational organizations in total. Both employees who went abroad during working hours and managers who committed violations were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
More than 15 million tenge was recovered to the state revenue, and 680 people were held accountable.
