Auto experts have selected two Japanese crossovers that are well suited for family use, as well as two cars they recommend against buying, according to the Gobankingrates portal. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Recommended models
First of all, the specialists highlighted the Toyota Highlander and the Grand Highlander hybrid. EpicVIN expert Alex Black noted the reliability and high residual value of the models. His colleague Ford Smith also considers the Highlander a suitable choice for many years of family use thanks to its quiet ride and well-organized interior.
Another recommended option is the Honda Pilot. It is especially advised for large families: the crossover features a practical interior and is convenient for transporting child seats and large cargo.
Models to be cautious about
As for the Nissan Pathfinder, experts suggest being cautious. The main complaint concerns the transmission. According to Black, in some versions the gearbox can cause owners quite a few problems.
The second car on the list is the Mitsubishi Outlander. Here the criticism concerns primarily the third row, which, according to Smith, is too cramped even for schoolchildren. In addition, questions arise about the powertrain under heavy and prolonged use.
