Voting in the election for the Assembly of Kazakhstan abroad has ended. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

At 8:00 AM Astana time, the last 79th polling station in San Francisco closed.

As the Foreign Ministry reported on the evening of August 23, as of 7:00 PM, all 79 polling stations established at Kazakhstan's foreign missions in 61 countries had begun their work.

Of the 11,402 voters registered abroad, 6,007 cast their ballots, the ministry said.

"Protocols of the precinct election commissions abroad on the results of voting for the election of deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be immediately sent to the Central Election Commission," the ministry reported.
