In the first 7 months of 2026, the Samruk-Kazyna holding received $1.9 billion from its stakes in joint ventures. The bulk of the proceeds – $1.6 billion – came from the oil companies Tengizchevroil and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to Samruk-Kazyna's half-year report for the first half of 2026, the total amount of dividends to the group was 630 billion tenge (about $1.35 billion at a rate of 468 tenge per dollar), mainly from joint ventures and associated companies.
Tengizchevroil dividends
Thus, from Tengizchevroil, which is developing the country's largest oil and gas field, the holding received 519 billion tenge (approximately $1.1 billion). At the same time, a year earlier for the same period, dividends from Tengizchevroil amounted to 386 billion tenge.
For the same period, Samruk-Kazyna received 29 billion tenge in dividends from Kazzinc.
The holding's stake in Tengizchevroil through its subsidiary NC KazMunayGas is 20%. Other shareholders are the American Chevron – 50% and ExxonMobil – 25%.
Samruk-Kazyna's stake in Kazzinc is 29.82%, with another about 70% owned by Switzerland's Glencore International AG.
July payments
In addition, Samruk-Kazyna received dividends in July. Payments from Tengizchevroil amounted to $442 million (about 206.9 billion tenge). Thus, total dividends from Tengizchevroil over seven months amounted to about $1.6 billion.
In July, the holding also received $86 million from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (about 40.5 billion tenge). Samruk-Kazyna's stake in CPC is 19%.
The group of companies also received $16 million from Mangistau Investments B.V., a joint venture with China's CNPC, and 3.6 million tenge from the operator Transtelecom.
Financial indicators
We note that Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund increased its net profit in January-June 2026 to 1.275 trillion tenge, which is 18% more than in the same period of 2025.
