Kazakhstani taekwondo athlete Samirkhon Ababakirov has advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi and Nagoya (Japan). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In the round of 16 of the under-68 kg weight category, the representative of Kazakhstan faced Le Tuan of Vietnam. Ababakirov won with a score of 2:0 by rounds.
In the quarterfinals, the Kazakhstani athlete will face Mun Jinho of South Korea.
