Almaty police identified a man and a woman who used obscene language into a microphone on the Sayran embankment. The administrative case materials have been sent to court, the city police department reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The investigation was prompted by a video published on social media. In the recording, street musicians use profanity during a performance in a public place.

After the video spread, police officers identified the participants and brought them to the station.

An administrative case was initiated against the man and woman for petty hooliganism.

"The collected materials have been sent to court. Swearing in public places, showing disrespect to others, and other actions that violate public order entail liability in accordance with the law," police reported.

Under Article 434 of the Administrative Code, petty hooliganism is punishable by a fine of 20 MCI (86,500 tenge in 2026), community service from 20 to 60 hours, or administrative arrest from five to 15 days.

The final decision on the case will be made by the court.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that a video appeared on social media showing street performers at Sayran using obscene language into a microphone and demanding that the woman filming them stop recording. At that time, police announced the start of an investigation and promised to give a legal assessment of the participants' actions after identifying them.
