A fire occurred on the first floor of a five-story residential building on Ulytau Street in Satpayev. As a result, 14 people, including eight children, were evacuated from neighboring apartments. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, rescuers carried a cat overcome by smoke out of the burning apartment. The animal was having difficulty breathing, so it was immediately given first aid using a rescuer's breathing apparatus.

Thanks to the prompt actions of firefighters, the fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time. The causes of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been reported.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the Almaty region, in the village of Tuymebay in the Ili district, the roofs of three shopping boutiques and a canteen caught fire over a total area of more than 320 square meters. The fire was completely extinguished. There were no casualties.

The incident in Satpayev once again draws attention to fire safety issues in residential buildings. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan urges citizens to strictly observe fire safety rules and to immediately report to the 101 service in case of danger.
