Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina has become the winner of the WTA 500 tournament held in Ningbo, China. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the National Olympic Committee, the world's No. 1 player Rybakina faced Canada's Leylah Fernandez, ranked 30th in the world, in the final. The Kazakh tennis player defeated her opponent in both sets with a score of 6:2.
Thus, Rybakina defended the championship title she won in Ningbo in 2025. For her victory at the tournament, the Kazakh athlete received 500 ranking points.
