US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said there is a risk of escalation and spread of the Ukraine conflict to other territories. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"The risk of escalation and spread of the conflict to other places really exists," Rubio said, answering journalists' questions in India. According to him, the conflict must be ended through negotiations.
He also noted that the US is working to push both sides toward reaching an agreement. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Russia wants a peaceful and as rapid as possible end to military actions in Ukraine.
He noted that Moscow is ready for negotiations, but does not see such aspiration from the Kyiv regime. US President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction that Vladimir Zelensky is not ready for a peace agreement.
