Portuguese footballer and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has said that the 2026/27 season could be his last in professional football. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The 41-year-old forward said this in an interview with Vogue magazine. The forward noted that he has a solid career in sports — 25 years — and his future is already fully planned. He wants to travel more, spend time with his family, and also actively play paddle tennis.
Earlier, the Portuguese confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held in June-July, was his final World Cup in his career. Portugal were eliminated from that tournament in the round of 16, losing to Spain 0:1.
Currently, Ronaldo continues to play for Al-Nassr. One of his main final goals in club football remains surpassing the historic mark of 1000 official goals in his career.
