Six people died when two helicopters collided mid-air in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The tragedy occurred on the morning of June 14 in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes district in the west of the city. According to Brazilian TV channel G1, the two helicopters collided in mid-air and both crashed.
Eyewitnesses said the helicopters collided directly in the air. "No one on board survived," said Major Fabio Contreras, a spokesman for the Rio de Janeiro fire department.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed. The circumstances of the crash are being investigated.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that a military plane crashed in India and a fire broke out at an airbase.
