A campaign of festive discounts is being held in the country ahead of Republic Day, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan has announced. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Starting 17 October, the nationwide Republic Day and Bereke Fest promotions have launched in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and other regions, offering consumers a range of goods at low prices.

Some products can be purchased with discounts ranging from 10% to 50%.

“The most intensive period of festive offers is expected between 21 and 27 October. Promotional programmes, special prices and the bulk of holiday discounts will take place during these days. Consumers will have the opportunity to buy food and non-food goods at favourable prices,” the statement said.

Large-scale sales will be held in popular shopping centres in the country’s three megacities and other regions.

For example, in Astana, the Republic Day promotion involves the MEGA Silk Way and Khan Shatyr shopping centres; in Almaty, MEGA Alma-Ata, MEGA Park and Forum Almaty; and in Shymkent, Mega Planet and Shymkent Plaza.

Special offers under Bereke Fest will be available in stores of the Magnum, SMALL, Astykzhan and GraMad retail chains.

“These promotions are being held in honour of the national holiday and are aimed at making essential goods accessible to the public, supporting consumer demand and giving an additional boost to domestic trade. In addition, special attention is paid to supporting domestic producers and expanding opportunities to sell their products,” the ministry said.

The Republic Day and Bereke Fest promotions will continue until 27 October.
