Ahead of the national holiday – Republic Day – by decree of the President of Kazakhstan, a group of citizens was awarded state honors for their significant contribution to the country's socio-economic and cultural-spiritual development, strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples, and active public service. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Who received the awards

In total, state awards were given to 129 labor veterans, 473 workers in industry, transport, construction, agriculture and other sectors, more than 200 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, more than 150 educators and scientists, about 120 medical workers, as well as other citizens who contribute to the country's development through their daily work.

Highest distinction

By the decree of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for outstanding labor achievements in production, the title of "Kazakhstan's Labor Hero" with the special distinction badge – the Golden Star and the Order of "Otan" – was awarded to Abdiraşit Dospanov, a smelter at the Zhezkazgan copper smelting plant of "Kazakhmys Smelting" LLP.

The title "Kazakhstan's Labor Hero" was conferred on A. Dospanov, smelter at the Zhezkazgan copper smelting plant of "Kazakhmys Smelting" LLP, for services to production.

Orders and titles

The Order of "Otan" was awarded to prominent cultural and artistic figure, composer A. Koразбаев, who played a special role in the recognition of the "Muzart" group in the country and abroad.

The Order of "Barys" of the first degree was awarded to T. Zhumagulov, president of the association of legal entities "TNS-group Concern", and actor N. Yktymbayev; the Order of "Barys" of the second degree to Ye. Mambetkaziyev, a veteran of the education sector, and K. Ualiyev, vice-president of the association of legal entities "Federation of Mountaineering and Rock Climbing of the Republic of Kazakhstan"; the Order of "Barys" of the third degree to V. Tyurkin, director of "Novo-Prirechnoye" LLP, S. Shangutov, chairman of the Aktobe regional branch of the republican public association "Veterans' Organization", and others.

Well-known scientists and cultural figures, representatives of the production sector who have contributed to the country's development were awarded the orders "Parasat" and "Qurmet".
