According to Kazhydromet forecasts, nighttime frosts are expected in five regions of Kazakhstan on October 25. The coldest weather will be in Zhetysu, while dust storms are forecast in the west and south of the country. In some areas, wind will strengthen to 28 meters per second. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Kazakhstan will remain under the influence of a vast anticyclone. Weather forecasters promise clear weather without precipitation, however, fog is expected at night and in the morning in many regions.

Zhetysu and Zhambyl regions

In the Zhetysu region, nighttime temperatures are forecast from −5 to −10 degrees, in Taldykorgan — from −8 to −10. In the Zhambyl region, frosts down to −3…−8 degrees are expected, in Taraz — down to −5…−7.

Almaty region and Almaty

In the Almaty region, the temperature will drop to −1…−6 degrees. In Almaty on October 25, nighttime frosts of 2-4 degrees are expected. The same temperature is expected in Konaev.

Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions

In the north and center of the Kyzylorda region, frosts down to −3 degrees are forecast. Frost is also expected in the north of the Turkestan region.

Dust storms and wind

Dust storms are expected in some areas of the Mangystau, Atyrau and Kyzylorda regions, including Kyzylorda. Wind gusts will reach 15–20 meters per second.

In the east of the Kyzylorda region, in some areas of the Zhambyl region and near the Alakol lakes, the wind will strengthen to 23–28 meters per second. In the Almaty region and the Ile Alatau mountains, gusts up to 17–22 meters per second are expected.

Fog

Fog is forecast in some areas of the Karaganda, West Kazakhstan, Akmola, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Kostanay regions, as well as the Ulytau and Abai regions. In the Zhambyl region and Zhetysu, fog is expected in the mountains.

Fire danger

In the Atyrau, Kyzylorda and some areas of the Aktobe, Karaganda, Mangystau regions, Ulytau and Zhetysu, an emergency fire danger remains.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a dry and frosty anticyclone is approaching Kazakhstan, which will bring a sharp cold snap to all regions.
