Aidarbek Khojanazarov, chairman of the Respublica party, addressed his voters after the exit poll results, noting that the first elections to the Kurultai are a historic moment. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
"The Respublica party believes that today's elections were held openly, honestly and in accordance with the requirements of the law. In the first constitutional elections, Respublica received 5.4% of the votes — a preliminary poll result. This is the choice of citizens who trusted us. We sincerely thank every citizen who voted for our party," Khojanazarov said.
According to him, voting has ended and the first exit poll results have been released. This is the result that was expected.
At the same time, the party intends to wait for the official election results.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that sociological institutes presented the first exit poll data following the voting in the elections of Kurultai deputies.
According to surveys of citizens leaving polling stations, the leading position with an advantage of over 70% of the votes is held by the "Adilet" party. The Respublica party — 5.5% according to the Institute of Complex Social Research "SOCIS-A".
Recall that voting in the elections to the Kurultai has ended in Kazakhstan. All polling stations in the country have closed.
Voting lasted from 07:00 to 20:00. In total, 10,363 stations operated in Kazakhstan.
In total, 545 candidates from seven parties are vying for seats in the new parliament. The lists include 172 women and 373 men, 19 candidates have disabilities, and another 74 are under 35 years old. The average age of candidates is 45.4 years.
The order of parties on the ballot was determined by drawing lots. The "Adilet" party nominated the most candidates — 186. Next are Respublica — 75, People's Party of Kazakhstan — 72, "Auyl" — 69, "Ak Zhol" — 63, "Baitak" — 47, and OSDP — 33 candidates.
34.3 billion tenge was allocated from the government reserve for the organization and conduct of the elections.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the preliminary voter turnout for the Kurultai elections was 74.19%.
