Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov stated that no orders for Kazakh gasoline have been received due to the situation in Russia. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Russian motorists complained about gasoline shortages. Three days ago, most regions of the country imposed restrictions on the sale of gasoline and diesel at gas stations.
According to Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov, no requests have been made by the neighboring country on this issue. "No official requests have been received from the Russian Federation. If they come, Kazakhstan will consider them," Akkenzhenov said in an interview with journalists.
It is noted that at Russian gas stations, only 20-40 liters of gasoline are sold per person. The diesel limit is 80-200 liters per person. Filling into canisters is prohibited.
Local authorities stated that all these measures are taken to prevent speculation in the market and unjustified panic among the population.
