Vladimir Tkachuk, CEO of the Russian company Uraldronzavod, was seriously injured in a car explosion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing TASS.
According to the agency, the explosion occurred in the city of Bolshoy Istok in a car where Tkachuk was present. Local media 66.RU and E-1 report that the driver, who also served as a security guard, was killed.
Emergency services said the condition of the company head is assessed as serious.
A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Murder committed in a socially dangerous way"). Investigators are determining the circumstances of the incident.
Uraldronzavod produces the "Upyr" drones used by the Russian side in the war against Ukraine.
TASS also reports that Vladimir Tkachuk has been included in the database of the Ukrainian website "Myrotvorets" since January 2025. According to the resource, the reason was accusations of "encroachment on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine" and public support of Russia.
